About Complete Home Comfort

Here is what you should know about Complete Home Comfort before you let anyone into your attic.

We insulate and air seal existing homes across 47 Massachusetts municipalities and all 26 Rhode Island municipalities, and we handle the applicable utility-program paperwork before installation.

Save Energy. Save Money. Get Insulated.
Where a New England house leaks

Attic first, then rim joist and basement, then walls, then windows and doors. The order almost never changes, and it is the order we work in.

What we do, and where we do it

Complete Home Comfort is a residential insulation contractor. We are not a builder and we are not a heating company. We work on houses people already live in, and the work is narrow on purpose: attic insulation, whole-home air sealing, walls, basements, crawl spaces, garage ceilings, and pulling out old material that has stopped doing its job.

Our home base is Franklin, and the crew serves 73 communities across nine counties: 47 municipalities in Massachusetts and all 26 municipalities in Rhode Island. The areas we serve page lists every community, with a dedicated Rhode Island service-area guide.

Much of what we install can be supported by a state utility program rather than paid entirely by the homeowner. We guide Massachusetts homes through Mass Save and Rhode Island homes through Rhode Island Energy programs administered by RISE. The energy programs page compares the two paths and explains what approval does and does not cover.

The short version

Licensed, registered, and easy to check

Insulation is one of the trades where a homeowner rarely sees the finished work. The material goes into a space you will not walk through again for twenty years, so the only real protection you have is a contractor whose paperwork you can verify yourself. Ours is below. Tap a card to see the numbers and where to look them up.

The process

How a job actually runs

Four stages. The first one costs you nothing and the third one is the only day we are in your house.

  1. Work scope assessment

Somebody walks the attic, the basement, and the rim joist, measures what insulation is already there, and writes down what the house needs. No charge, and no obligation to hire us afterward. This is also the visit that starts a home energy assessment file if you do not already have one.

  2. Utility scope approval

The scope goes to the program administrator for review. They decide what qualifies for an incentive and at what level. We file it, we chase it, and we tell you the number before anything is scheduled. You never sign a work order without knowing your share.

  3. Install day

Air sealing first, then insulation, then ventilation baffles and the attic hatch. Most single-family houses are one day. We put down protection, we vacuum, and the hoses go out the same window they came in.

  4. Paperwork and close-out

Photos, final measurements, and the completion documents the utility needs so the incentive lands where it is supposed to. You get copies. Some jobs get a post-install inspection from the program, and we schedule that too.

Who does the work

Erinn Woodcock owns the company and holds the Massachusetts home improvement registration, 218198, under Complete Home Comfort, LLC. The company also holds Rhode Island Residential Contractor Registration GC-39983. Our operations manager, Doug Stewart, holds the Massachusetts construction supervisor license with the insulation specialty, CSSL-102784, and our BPI-certified branch manager, Rui Pires, brings an additional CSSL licence to the team. These credentials are detailed here because a name and a number are worth more than an adjective.

Crews are our own people rather than a rotating list of subcontractors, which is why the person who walks your attic is the one who can tell you what will happen in it.

What we will not do

We will not tell you a house needs work it does not need. An attic that already carries the depth the program looks for gets left alone, and we will say so on the assessment rather than sell you a top-up that changes nothing.

What we always do

Air seal before insulating. Skipping that step buries the leaks under the new material and wastes the whole install.

Start with the assessment

Nothing gets decided until somebody has been in the attic. Book the walkthrough, find out what the house qualifies for, and then choose. That order keeps the decision yours.
